The Maple Bars
Recorded at Khind Of Records, the 11-song concept album chronicles the exploits of Dave Crocker, a yo-yo-loving local staple at Hogan’s Pub in Clarkston, WA. “David Crocker has some of the most fascinating stories, he just needed someone to listen to them and then tell them for him in a much louder voice.” While Crocker’s life is quiet now, by comparison, The Maple Bars chronicle his wild younger years, with exploits such as fixing Elvis’s TV in Vegas and developing an intense love for the Oliver Stone film Natural Born Killers, which Crocker claims “was the best motherf–king movie that I ever did see.”
The Maple Bars’ meaty riffs, soulful grooves, and psychedelic arrangements make hippies sway, punk kids thrash, and cool kids bob their heads. Having shared the stage with such varied acts as Collective Soul, Otis Heat, Psychic Rites, and Toyboat Toyboat Toyboat, the band is poised to glaze the world with most soulful, psychedelic hard rock in the land.
