Bottleneck Blues Band

The band is fronted by veteran performer Noah Bell.  With twenty five years of professional playing across America, he knows what it takes to move a room and change a crowd into a big sweaty mess. During his years on stage he has opened for a wide variety of top notch musicians from reggae’s Steel Pulse to the King of country music Willie Nelson as well as various members of the Grateful Dead including Bill Kreutzmann not to mention classic blues man Elvin Bishop. Noah plays electric slide and balances that with hot soulful riffs.

Seth Zowader hails from the Big Apple and brings that big town sound with him where ever he goes. Having been trained at Berklee College of Music, he carries the big stick of funky and is ready to drop bombs. His masterful organ technique has thrilled spectators leaving them amazed at his sonic prowess. The only thing better than his playing are the great faces he makes while doing his dirty business on stage.

Driving the train is Devon Shazier from Detroit Michigan. Born with the Motown sound he lived the blues on the streets while learning the beats in church. From a young age he was sought after as a rhythm keeper. His beats were forged in hot nasty funk. The countless crowds that have been driven to the tipping point know his endless energy during the Bottleneck sets. Steve Rodriguez, owner on the Blue Diamond in Portland, says “I can’t believes he keeps going the whole three hour set”.

Bass player Ben Rougeou hails from central Louisiana. As a 10 year resident of the Pacific Northwest music scene, he has brought his Louisiana flavor and in the pocket playing to a variety of local bands including Papa Coyote, Gimmie Some Lovin’, and The Dirty Syncopators. He has shared the stage the likes of Ike Willis, Melvin Seals, Adam Neville, and Russel Batiste.

Bottleneck Blues Band has recently released its first CD “Twenty First Century Blues” to rave reviews and air play from DJs all over the world. They were featured on “Dave Watkin’s Blues & Roots” radio program in England. Listeners blogged positively as they heard the track play during the show.

Not to be pigeonholed these guys consistently cross over for the younger rock audience as well! The performances and growing fan base are proof that if you are looking for a band that people can understand and dance to these are your boyz!
