Barnyard Stompers

Hank Williams and Waylon Jennings would go on an ultra-violent shooting rampage if they knew what was being passed off as “Country music” these days. Johnny Cash and George Jones were not happy with the direction that their music was going at the time of their passing and, no matter how many times one of these mama’s boys in tight pants mentions these legends’ names in their songs, it won’t bring real Country back. So… is Country music lost forever? Hell no!!!
Real Country music cannot be heard on the radio or in so-called “Country” dance halls anymore. If you want to hear true Country, you have to look for it. The music lives in the outlaws who are striving to keep the music alive. You need to find the folks who eat, sleep, breathe and bleed Country music and if you’re reading this then you are on the right path to rediscovering the music that was once thought to be lost!
Casey Miller and Megan Wise are the Outlaw Country power duo known as Barnyard Stompers and one of the only true purveyors of this form of music. Forget about every other two-piece band you’ve ever experienced. Barnyard Stompers is not a novelty act! Never before has a two-piece band made so much noise or made such honest music. If you miss Country with balls and true grit and you’re tired of New York/L.A./Nashville Pop music and want to hear Country like it’s supposed to be played, the Stompers are exactly what you’re looking for.
Barnyard Stompers are straight-up Outlaw Country assassins who perform the rowdiest, rawest, toughest Country music you have ever heard. Never pandering to the easily-led masses, BS combine old school Honky-Tonk, Dirty Blues and Southern Rock to create a style of Outlaw Country that is all their own. The Stompers hold true to their Country heroes as they express outright anger at what their music has become. A guitar, a voice, a harmonica and a hard-driving beat are the only weapons this band needs to combat the mainstream Pop Country plague that is currently polluting the airwaves and Honky-Tonk bars of America.

Never asleep on the job, Barnyard Stompers have released three full-length records including their most recent release, Highway Gospel, and have performed over 500 shows throughout the U.S. and Europe, sharing the stage with such acts as Whitey Morgan, Scott H. Biram, Roger Alan Wade and more true Country artists than you could shake a stick at. Casey Miller plays a heavy-handed guitar, raunchy harmonica and sings with the power of Waylon and Jones, the passion of Howlin’ Wolf and the darkness of the Man in Black while Megan Wise drives a hard beat, producing a huge, powerful sound as she pounds away on the skins. Her vocal style is reminiscent of Kitty Wells and she can swing the Hell out of a guitar Sunday through Saturday (just let her know when you’re coming). The multi-talented, multi-tasking Wise always wows her audience when she plays guitar and drums together with less effort than the one-man-bands who talk a good game but just cannot keep up with her.
The Stompers combine their brand of humor and Hellraising as they jack with their audiences, getting them stirred up for a damn fun show. Folks agree that Barnyard Stompers have one of the fullest, most powerful sounds in Country music today. This power duo holds way more than their own as they run circles around most four or five piece bands. Those who are into true stomping, down-home roots music will only rob themselves if they miss out on their chance to see the Barnyard Stompers live in concert.
